No Compromise Coffee
No Compromise Coffee
Every harvest of our Biodynamic coffee is third-party lab-tested at two accredited labs, Actlabs and Eurofins. Ochratoxin A and aflatoxins come back below the detection limit, and our coffee is grown without synthetic pesticides under Demeter and organic certification. See every report on our lab results page.

Beyond the certifications, every harvest is verified through an independent multi-laboratory testing program — here's the detail behind the claim.
Yes, our Biodynamic coffee is mold-free. Every harvest is tested at two accredited labs, and ochratoxin A and aflatoxins come back below the detection limit.
Every harvest of our Biodynamic Coffee is third-party lab tested for mycotoxins, heavy metals, and microbiological contaminants — and we publish every certificate of analysis unedited on our lab results page. We use two complementary accredited laboratories: Actlabs Agriculture Division performs the 16-compound mycotoxin panel by LC-MS (covering ochratoxin A, all four aflatoxins, DON, fumonisins, T-2, HT-2, zearalenone, and more), while Eurofins Essais Alimentaires performs both the heavy metals panel by ICP-MS (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic) and the microbiological panel (E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria). On every harvest, ochratoxin A and aflatoxins have tested below the assay detection limit.
Our coffee is Demeter Certified Biodynamic — the world's strictest organic certification standard, which prohibits all synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides anywhere on the farm. This means purity is built in at the source rather than chased after harvest. We work directly with two pioneering Biodynamic farms: La Chacra D'Dago in Peru (the first Demeter-certified Biodynamic coffee farm in Peru, B-Corp certified, running a community lot project to help neighboring farmers transition to Biodynamic methods) and 18 Conejo in Honduras (the first certified Biodynamic coffee farm in Central America, a Top 10 Honduras Cup of Excellence farm). Holistic Roasters also holds the Swiss Water Process Demeter certificate, producing the world's first and only Demeter-certified Biodynamic decaf.
Each roast in this collection comes from the same lab-tested, Biodynamic green coffee — the difference is roast level and flavor profile:

Every harvest of our Biodynamic Coffee is third-party lab tested for mycotoxins. Ochratoxin A and aflatoxins — the regulated, carcinogenic mycotoxins — have tested below the assay detection limit on every harvest. Full certificates of analysis are published unedited at our lab results page.
Every certificate of analysis is published unedited at our lab results page, organized by harvest date. We use two complementary accredited laboratories — Actlabs Agriculture Division (16-compound mycotoxin panel by LC-MS) and Eurofins Essais Alimentaires (heavy metals by ICP-MS, plus microbiology) — and each certificate identifies which laboratory performed the test.
Coffee is packed with antioxidants, including chlorogenic acid and melanoidins, which have been linked to various health benefits. Studies suggest that regular coffee consumption can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, improve cognitive function, protect liver health, and lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. However, moderation is key, with 2-3 cups per day generally considered optimal.

Yes! All of our Biodynamic and Melk coffees are roasted in-house. Unlike some competitors who outsource their roasting to third-party facilities, we take pride in carefully managing the entire process ourselves—from green coffee sourcing to roasting. This ensures that every batch is roasted to perfection, reflecting our commitment to quality, sustainability, and flavor. By keeping our roasting in house, we can guarantee the freshness and consistency that sets our coffee apart.
Yes! We include the roast date on each bag. Typically your coffee will ship within one week of the roast date and guarantee that all coffee is shipped within two weeks.
We roast on Probat, Probatone coffee roasters that are custom-spec'd by Scott Rao.
Demeter is the world's strictest organic standard. It prohibits all synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides on the farm — preventing contamination at the source rather than catching it at the lab. Our coffee is dual-certified USDA Organic + Demeter Biodynamic.
Not automatically. The USDA Organic seal restricts synthetic pesticides but does not require testing for mold or mycotoxins, so most organic coffee is never screened for ochratoxin A or aflatoxins. Holistic Roasters lab-tests every harvest of its Biodynamic coffee and publishes the results at our lab results page.
Holistic Roasters tests every harvest of its Biodynamic coffee at two accredited labs. Actlabs runs a 16-compound mycotoxin panel by LC-MS, including ochratoxin A and four aflatoxins, and Eurofins runs heavy-metals testing by ICP-MS. Ochratoxin A and aflatoxins come back below the detection limit every harvest, and every certificate of analysis is published unedited at our lab results page.
Yes. Holistic Roasters produces the world's only Demeter certified Biodynamic decaffeinated coffee. The Swiss Water Process Demeter certificate is held by Holistic Roasters Inc., the decaf is processed without chemical solvents, and it is lab-tested for mycotoxins like every other harvest.
French Roast is our darkest roast and lowest in acidity, which makes it a strong espresso choice. Every roast, including French Roast, is third-party lab-tested every harvest.
On two family farms: La Chacra D'Dago in Peru, the first Demeter Biodynamic coffee farm in Peru and a B-Corp, and 18 Conejo in Honduras, the first certified Biodynamic coffee farm in Central America, women-led and a Top 10 Honduras Cup of Excellence estate.
